• 100% Remote 6-9 month contract (possible extension) • Must live in EST or CST ... We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: • Design, construct, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from diverse sources into our data warehouse, leveraging AWS, Databricks, Python, and SQL technologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp data requirements and implement tailored solutions aligned with business objectives. • Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines to ensure peak performance and reliability. • Institute data quality and validation procedures to uphold the precision and uniformity of data. • Stay abreast of industry trends and data engineering best practices to continually enhance our data infrastructure. • Engage closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to comprehend data use cases and provide requisite infrastructure and support. • Compile extensive, intricate datasets that satisfy both functional and non-functional business prerequisites. • Identify, devise, and implement internal process enhancements, including infrastructure redesign for enhanced scalability, data delivery optimization, and automation of manual tasks. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Management, or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience. • Demonstrated track record as a Data Engineer or similar role. • Profound expertise in SQL and adeptness with relational databases. • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) for data processing and scripting. • Familiarity with data modeling and database design principles. • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with stream processing technologies. • Familiarity with data governance and security best practices. • Hands-on experience and certifications in AWS and Databricks technologies Apply Job!
