Day of AI is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping schools and districts integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into their classrooms effectively and responsibly. Originating from the MIT RAISE initiative, Day of AI now operates independently with a singular mission: to bring AI safely and responsibly to K-12 education worldwide.
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced classroom educators to join our team as Curriculum Writers. In this primarily remote role, you will collaborate closely with our expert technologists to create engaging and educational lesson plans that incorporate AI concepts into standard classroom instruction. While experience with technology and/or artificial intelligence is a plus, it is not a requirement. Our primary focus is on finding outstanding educators who are passionate about developing high-quality lessons in partnership with our technologists.Key Responsibilities: ... Develop comprehensive lesson plans that integrate AI concepts into various subjects, including math, English Language Arts (ELA), science, history, and the arts.- Collaborate with a team of technologists and other educators to ensure lessons are accurate, engaging, and aligned with educational standards.- Adapt lessons for different grade levels and learning environments, ensuring accessibility and relevance.- Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest AI advancements and educational methodologies.- Contribute to the creation of supporting materials, such as guides, assessments, and multimedia resources.Qualifications: - Licensed educator with at least 3 years of full-time teaching experience.- Strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional design.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- Enthusiasm for incorporating new technologies and innovative teaching methods into education.- Experience in any of the following subjects: math, ELA, science, history, or the arts.Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with AI concepts and technology.- Experience working with diverse student populations.- Ability to adapt and customize lesson plans for various learning styles and needs.Salary and Benefits: - Salary range: $90,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience.- Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.- Opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume, cover letter, and a sample lesson plan that demonstrates your teaching style and approach to integrating technology into the classroom.
