Description
Slack is seeking a talented and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Core Libraries team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core libraries that power our platform. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure our libraries are robust, efficient, and scalable.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain core libraries and frameworks used across Slack
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure our libraries meet their needs
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers
- Investigate and resolve performance issues
- Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and reviews
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java
- Experience with designing and maintaining large-scale software systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
