The DS3 Solution Delivery team within United Healthcare has 4 agile teams with a total of ~30 team members (Onshore and Offshore) and primarily work on developing and maintaining finance and accounting data processing, reporting applications and automation for UHC controllership. The primary skills on the team are BASE SAS, SAS/Macros, SAS/SQL, Big Data/Hadoop (Hive, Spark etc.), Python, Power BI, SQL skills for relational databases including Oracle, Teradata, DB2. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of data analytics programs and processes for supporting various operational data stores using SAS and Relational Databases including Teradata, Snowflake and Oracle. Provide production support for scheduled and ad-hoc processes, address job failures, data issues and user concerns. Collect, interpret, and aggregate data from traditional and non-traditional data sources for supporting programs and applications utilizing various data analytics purposes. Understand data requirements and business needs to develop data tools such as dashboards and data visualizations using SAS and Power BI. Use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data. Solves moderately complex problems and has ability to translate concepts into practice. Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Recognize problems and make recommendations for solutions. Works under minimal guidance and within tight deadlines for deliverables. Required Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a programmer using BASE SAS, SAS/Macros, Proc SQL. 3+ years of data analysis experience - ability to work with large volumes of data, disparate relational databases, and familiarity with various database technologies. 3+ years of experience with developing/writing SQL queries. 1+ years of experience developing data visualizations and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI. 1+ years of experience of programming using Python. Ability to understand and support modern large-scale data pipelines to support data integration for reporting & analytics. Progressive work experience in a data analytics or related role. Demonstrated financial, analytical, and business acumen. Advanced skills in MS Excel. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced SAS programming certification. 2+ years of experience leveraging SAS Viya platform. 2+ years of experience using Teradata utilities including FASTLOAD, MULTILOAD, TPT. 1+ years of experience with Snowflake. • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to United Health Group’s Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. United Health Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
