Part-Time Teacher for Online Computer Science & Coding Program Position Summary: The Computer Science & Coding teacher is an exciting position at Princeton Learning Experience International School. The instructor will teach the computer science, web design and coding course to G 6-12 students. Responsibilities and Skills: • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities to students in classroom • Teach students the class of computer language and coding including C++ • Train and lead students to attend computer coding contests • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. • Strong technology skills. • Demonstrate a high level of initiative. • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. • Perform the standard teaching method. • Effectively manage the classroom by implementing discipline, time management, and organization consistent with school policy • Maintains competency in rules and general information about all aspects of Computer Science, Web Design, Coding... competitions for G 6-12 students • Instruct students in the skills necessary for achievement in Computer Science, Web Design, Coding events they are involved in • Provides direction and supervision to PLE volunteer youth helpers and Computer Science club leaders Qualifications: • Qualification and experience in G 6-12 education. • Knowledge and experience in computer science, web design and coding. • Experience with at least one coding language: Java, C++, HTML, Python, Scratch. • Excellent facilitator with the ability to motivate, direct, and train people and collaborate and interact with others effectively and productively. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Commitment to excellence and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment. • Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives.
