Backend Java REST API Developer (US Citizen Only, Hiring ASAP)
US Citizen Only (C2C/1099) Java REST API Developer - - - - - - - - - JAVA API Developer Various Level Positions available We are seeking experienced Front-End Developers with a strong focus on Angular to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate would have experience developing in Java and building Representation State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API) solutions for enterprise-level clients, including experience with federal government projects. Key Responsibilities: · Work as a member of multiple scrum teams to develop, integrate, and deploy high quality reusable, testable, and efficient code including Microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs · Lead/support the solution and product team to provide technical direction and documentation to scrum teams developing a RESTful services/microservice application. · Creating design documentation and technical information that facilitates the grooming of stories for developers and testers to work from. · Writing Unit Test frameworks (JUnit, Mocking frameworks), code coverage, and code review and integrating work with GitLab · Working within a SAFe environment that includes consistent leadership support, continued learning education, refining user stories, providing internal and customer demonstrations of developed code · Contributing within a SAFe environment including the Daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog grooming, Sprint/System Demos, PI Planning, and Inspect & Adapt events Required Skills and Experience: · 5 to 7+ years of related experience in software development with 3+ years in a lead development role · Experience with JAVA and developing/maintaining backend APIs. · Knowledge of REST API, JSON. · Experience using API test cases in SOAP UI, PostMan, or ReadyAPI. · Experience implementing and maintaining Spring Boot applications. · Experience with git/GitLab DevOps/CI/CD platform. · Experience with SQL and PGAdmin. · Experience with common web development frameworks (Angular, Docker, React, Spring, Node.js, jQuery, Microservice Design, etc.) · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. · U.S. Citizen with existing or the ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation Preferred Qualifications: · Knowledge of Amazon Web Services. · Experience using and creating API test cases in PostMan, or ReadyAPI. · Knowledge of Angular 2+ applications and common web development frameworks (Angular, Docker, React, Spring, Node.js, jQuery, Microservice Design, etc) · Experience with an IDE such as IntelliJ. · Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or Agile/Iterative software development methodology · Interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude. · Critical thinking, problem solving skills, written, and oral communication skills. · Personal accountability, organized, self-motivated, and demonstrates initiative.
