Part Time Contracted Copywriter Position Title: Copywriter Location: Remote (Prefer Central or Eastern time zone) Reports To: Director of Marketing Department: Marketing Tentative Start Date: January 27th Contract Period: March 31, 2025 (end of Quarter 1) After the contract period this position will be re-evaulated at which point it can either be terminated, extended or converted to a full time, W2 job if the Company deems the contractor has proven themself a valuable assest to the Marketing team. The copywriter is a pivotal contributor to a business’s communication and marketing strategies. Their role revolves around crafting compelling, persuasive, and audience-focused content that drives engagement, builds brand identity, and ultimately supports business growth. Key Responsibilities: • Develop clear, compelling, and on-brand text for limited-time offer cookies, drinks, and other menu items, ensuring consistency with product themes and promotions. • Proofread and edit various types of content to ensure all materials are error-free and meet the highest standards of accuracy. • Serve as the final approver for all written materials, ensuring that content aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience. • Write engaging, fun, and persuasive copy for social media posts, collaborating with graphic designers to ensure that the text aligns with visual materials. • Propose and create innovative content marketing ideas for website content, email campaigns, and other consumer touchpoints. • Develop copy for retail marketing collateral, including evergreen materials and seasonal promotional content, to drive awareness and sales at the store level. • Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all written content. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field (preferred, not required). Experience • Minimum of 1 year of experience in copywriting. • Proven track record of success in building and strengthening brand identity, driving Customer Engagement and Conversions, enhancing Marketing campaign Effectiveness, and establishing Emotional Connections with Audiences • Strong understanding of franchise systems, and marketing tools to communicate complex information clearly. Skills and Abilities • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for proofreading and editing. • Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging, clear, and fun content that resonates with the audience. • Ability to work collaboratively with designers and other teams to ensure cohesive marketing materials. • Deep understanding of brand guidelines and experience aligning content with established branding. • Creativity and the ability to propose fresh and innovative content ideas. • Time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, part-time role. • Experience with social media copywriting and content marketing across different platforms. • Knowledge of SEO principles for web content (preferred but not required). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or other writing and editing tools.
