Work Location: This position is HybridJob Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Applications Developer to join a dedicated team producing mission-critical software. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications within an Agile DevOps environment. The ideal candidate will lead efforts in database migration, cloud service adoption, and modernizing application platforms to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability. Responsibilities: • Participate in planning sessions to coordinate development requirements. • Use development tracking tools to document assignments and progress. • Develop, test, and deliver features, stories, and epics. • Collaborate with analysts, administrators, testers, and other developers. • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products adhering to established standards. • Develop Java-based web applications using frameworks like Spring, Struts, and Hibernate. • Build and maintain system functionalities, APIs, web forms, reports, and security protocols. • Implement database connections and manage intermodular microservices. • Perform coding tasks aligned with detailed specifications and system requirements. • Ensure applications meet quality, security, and functional standards. • Lead efforts to migrate from Informix to PostgreSQL hosted on AWS. • Maintain and support SQL databases on Windows and Linux servers. • Cross-train staff for long-term database administration and maintenance. • Mentor team members and contribute to developing best practices. • Participate in committee activities and provide feedback on application design and functionality. • Stay informed of emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance team capabilities.
