Part-Time Children’s Spanish Instructor

Indianapolis Spanish Place is now hiring a part-time Spanish teacher!! We are looking for a creative instructor with experience planning activities for children and teaching courses. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Availability to teach Monday through Thursday mornings from 7:50am-1:00pm and afternoons Monday through Thursday from 2:30-4:00pm. Some classes and private lessons are held during the school day or Saturdays. • Must be able to commit to the entire academic school year without interruption. Programs typically run September through April. • Must be able to work independently and with colleagues to ensure proper class preparation, comunicate with parents, and manage your own substitutions if required. • Teachers are responsible for all communication with parents on a weekly basis and should be comfortable communicating in English via email and phone. • Should be comfortable working kids ages 3-10 and using email and Microsoft Office to manage classroom material • Teachers are responsible for managing classroom behavior • Teachers are responsible for their own transportation to schools in the Indianapolis area. • Please only apply if you are available during the times described above and willing to commit the entire academic school year. WHAT WE OFFER • We offer a competitive pay rate, $22.50 – $30.00 per hour depending on location • A paid orientation and basic training in August/September • Additional opportunities to teach private classes.
