Medical Imaging Informatics Specialist Our client is revolutionizing meaningful access to radiopharmaceuticals in clinical care and clinical trials alike. Bringing the latest in precision medicine to patients in their local communities. They are seeking a Medical Imaging Informatics Specialist to join their dynamic healthcare team. This role is essential for the support, development, and integration of imaging informatics systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and optimization of these systems to provide the highest quality imaging services to healthcare professionals and patients. The position requires travel to their clinics. This position requires up to 25% traveling to clinics. Key Responsibilities: System Administration & Support: • Administer and manage RIS, PACS, and MIM systems, ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to imaging systems and workflows. • Ensure compliance with DICOM standards for image storage, transmission, and retrieval. Integration & Optimization: • Integrate imaging systems with other systems as electronic medical records (EMR) for seamless data flow and patient care. • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, IT staff, and vendors to optimize imaging workflows and system performance. • Develop and implement protocols for data migration, storage, and archiving of medical images following industry standards and regulations. Quality Assurance & Compliance: • Maintain and verify the integrity and accuracy of imaging data stored in PACS and RIS. • Perform routine audits and system checks to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. • Develop and implement quality assurance programs for imaging systems to ensure they meet clinical and operational standards. User Training & Support: • Provide training and support to radiologists, technologists, and other end users on the efficient use of PACS, RIS, and other imaging systems. • Develop user guides, training materials, and standard operating procedures for imaging informatics systems. Installation and Configuration: • Install and configure related software and hardware. Project Management: • Lead or participate in projects related to the implementation, upgrade, or expansion of imaging systems. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions that enhance the delivery of diagnostic imaging services. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Radiologic Sciences, or a related field. • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working with RIS, PACS, DICOM, MIM and other imaging systems in a healthcare environment. REQUIRED • Certification in healthcare informatics or radiology systems (e.g., CIIP - Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) is a plus. • Strong knowledge of DICOM standards and imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET, X-ray, etc.). • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clinical staff and IT teams.
