Clinical Reviewer - (Hybrid/Remote - Illinois)

Maximus is hiring a Clinical Reviewer to support the Illinois SALT program. The Clinical Reviewer is responsible for evaluating assessments and making determinations regarding individuals' needs for additional supports and services. This role includes periodically conducting quality control reviews of field assessors' work to ensure accuracy and compliance. Additionally, the Clinical Reviewer will perform in-person field assessments as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Conduct medical and/or behavioral health assessments for individuals in accordance with contract requirements. - Review assessments or other clinical documents and prepare reports to make clinical determinations or recommendations based on program requirements. - Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: - Preferred knowledge may include community support programs, long-term care assessment and level of care in medical, behavioral health or related programs - Knowledge and understanding of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses and prescribed medications - Ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work independently and meet timelines • Education and licensure requirements are based on program contract requirements and are outlined in job posting - High School Degree or equivalent required - Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required - LPN, RN, LCSW, or related licensure preferred and may be required based on contract requirements • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health or related degree program OR - Must hold an active, unencumbered, and unrestricted nursing license in the State of Illinois or a Compact RN license AND - Minimum 2 years post-graduate work experience in the mental health field - Minimum 2 years experience conducting mental health assessments - Highly skilled using Microsoft office - Willingness to travel on an as-needed basis. Travel may occasionally reach up to 85% of the time to conduct in-person interviews and assessments Preferred Skills: - Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal and verbal communication skills - Demonstrates strong proficiency in written communication, producing concise and impactful documentation - IM+CANS certification or willingness to obtain IM+CANS certification Home Office Requirements: - Maximus provides company-issued computer equipment - Reliable high-speed internet service - Minimum 20 Mpbs download speeds/50 Mpbs for shared internet connectivity - Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds - Private and secure workspace #ClinicalServices Apply Job!
