Staff Software Engineer Data
Salesforce Inc. seeks Staff Software Engineer Data in Dallas, TX: Job Duties: Design and integrate software systems that power Slack’s large and diverse datasets to focus on data applications, data modeling, data analysis, search or machine learning, and other forward-looking approaches that address large open-ended problems. Participate with other Salesforce Engineers in the strategic development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for team projects and programs. Assess build vs buy decisions at every stage of our Data Infrastructure by assessing proof of concepts, benchmarking, Unit Testing, and other data assurance methodologies. Provide visibility into the health of Salesforce’s data infrastructure. Assist the Salesforce Data Infrastructure team in automating the lifecycle of all Salesforce software systems and platforms that process data, across millions of daily user transactions. Evolve maturity of our monitoring systems and processes to improve visibility and failures detection in our infrastructure. In this function, the candidate will create implementations to expose actionable data to internal and external partners. Telecommuting is an option. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field. A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)). Special Skill Requirements: (1) Job Workflow Systems; (2) Golang; (3) Distributed Systems; (4) Data Infrastructure; (5) AWS (CloudFormation, EC2); (6) Java; (7) Hadoop and Spark; (8) Docker; (9) Prometheus and Grafana; (10) Kubernetes; (11) Apache; and (12) Python.
