Workday Security Lead - HCM and FINS

About the position The Workday Security Lead will be responsible for establishing and maintaining security protocols within Workday for HR and Finance operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of security best practices, regulatory requirements, and the Workday system. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures align with business objectives while safeguarding critical data. Responsibilities • Lead design, development, and implementation of new Workday Security functionality including managing internal Workday Security team and their Workday development, prioritizing efforts to deliver and oversee quality , • Lead the design, implementation, and management of security policies and procedures related to Workday in HCM and Finance. , • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies. , • Collaborate with HR and Finance leaders to define security roles, access controls, and user permissions within Workday. , • Lead medium sized projects to onboard security solutions and participate in larger, more complex initiatives. , • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting HR and Finance security. , • Provide training and support to HR and Finance teams on security protocols and Workday functionalities. , • Develop and maintain documentation related to security processes, procedures, and configurations. , • Act as a liaison between IT, HR, Finance, and external stakeholders regarding security initiatives and compliance efforts. Requirements • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience , • Minimum of 7 years leading design, development, and implementation of new Workday Security functionality, including managing internal Workday Security teams and Workday development , • Minimum of 7 years of experience working with security frameworks and protocols , • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with HR or Finance processes, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements , • Strong knowledge of Workday security modules and configurations. , • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. , • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
