Associate IT Support Specialist

About the position The Associate IT Support Specialist is a generalist role focused on various aspects of computer setup, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, and maintenance. This position may involve interaction with network services and software systems engineering to restore service and resolve core issues. The role can be performed remotely, on-site, or in a hybrid manner, providing flexibility in work environment. Responsibilities • Take phone calls, respond to emails, and meet with Rush employees or contractors to resolve technology incidents and requests. , • Note symptoms and conduct troubleshooting tasks in cooperation with end-users, resolving technology incidents and fulfilling requests while documenting each step using the company incident/request management process and software. , • Respond in a positive and professional manner to fellow employees who contact the Help Desk. , • Establish and maintain effective working relations with a wide variety of individuals. , • Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Requirements • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. , • 1-3 years of experience within IT Support; Windows environment experience preferred. , • Strong computer literacy and ability to manage ticketing system. , • Ability to interact with end-users in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner even in stressful situations. , • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of end-user technical support and the ability to apply knowledge and skills to complex assignments. , • Create clear, concise, detail-oriented incident and problem documentation in the incident management system. , • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them within service level agreements.
