Lead Accountant

Lead Accountant LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Lead Accountant to join our dynamic team in the transportation division. This role will oversee the accounting team, manage daily accounting operations, and support the financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, supervisory potential, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. · Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. · Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. · Conduct budget vs. actual comparisons and provide explanations for variances. · Handle depreciation of assets, asset disposals, and acquisitions. · Perform corporate card reconciliations and invoice payments for rent, taxes, etc. · Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. · 3 or more years of accounting experience · Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, macros). · Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle) is a plus. · Excellent communication and leadership skills. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
