Material Handler - Entry Level

Position : Material Handler Location : El Paso, TX Duration : 12 Months Total Hours/week : 40.00 Client: Medical Device Company Job Category: Industrial Level Of Experience: Entry Level Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders Only) Job Description • This position is responsible for the retrieval and control of Raw Material for the daily line functions in manufacturing. • Daily cleaning of kitting areas including removal of cardboard and trash. • And any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Essential Duties And Responsibilities • Pull raw material from the warehouse for manufacturing. • Empty large trash and cardboard bins. • Sweep floors to maintain proper housekeeping requirement. • Pull pallets to lines from staging area. • Attends training sessions as directed. • Helps train production operators as directed. Education And/or Experience • High school education or equivalent preferred. • One or more years of warehouse and manufacturing experience preferred. Language Skills • Ability to read and comprehend instructions. • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor, management, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills • Ability to complete basic math calculations. Convert English units of measure to metric. Reasoning Ability • Ability to apply common sense when carrying out instructions furnished in written or oral form. • Ability to be a self-starter with the initiative to perform job responsibilities without direct supervision. • Accuracy, completeness, and attention to detail are essential. Physical Demands • The employee is often required to stand and reach with hands, arms, and lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. • Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of the building. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. • Employee is required to operate all types of material handling equipment. Work Environment • A person in this job will occasionally be exposed to moderate to occasionally loud noise and will work near moving equipment. • This is a manufacturing warehouse environment.
