Part Time Maintenance Worker

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, landscaping, tractor work, enclosure repair, hot wire fence repairs, and implementing repairs. Please also note that animal care is always the top priorty at SWP, therefore animal care task fall into the job discription of all employees. Therefore you must be unafraid of animals, wildlife, raw meats, and general animal clean up task. This role requires a proactive approach to facility upkeep and a strong understanding of various maintenance practices. Responsibilities ? Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs. ? Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, fencing, and minor vehicle repairs. ? Utilize tools and machinery such as chainsaws, voltage meters, tractors, zero turn mowers, trucks with trailers, weedeaters, and other odds and Ins. ? Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities ? Interpret schematics to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. ? Aiding with weekly animal food pick ups/and sorting ? Maintaning safe animal enclosures and enviroments ? Conducting landscaping activites in both the guest areas and animal enclosures ? Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities. Skills ? Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team and with other departments. ? Strong knowledge of general animal behavior. ? Experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on preventive measures. ? Ablitiy to be flexible ? Ablity to work hand in hand with other departments to complete task safely ? Knowledge and being able to opperate a tractor and use a truck to pull a trailer- including being able to back it efficiently. ? Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 ? 24 per week Benefits: ?
