The eligibility criteria includes possession of an active and unrestricted RN license in the state of New York ? Those who have worked in a skilled nursing facility are more likely to be considered RN Job Summary: Patients or residents looking for long-term or remedial care can avail of the services of a Registered Nurse (RN), who takes the lead in devising and delivering nursing care. RNs are often responsible for assessing and managing a patient's pain level and ensuring that appropriate pain medications are administered: ? Complies with the guidelines established by the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies and procedures, and experienced nursing reasoning to ensure proper care. ? Assesses and plans the nursing care for patients/residents in need of rehabilitation or long-term care, and evaluates its effectiveness. ? Hollistically caring for patients that require long-term or rehabilitative care. ? Executes the plan of care for the patient/resident and monitors their response. ? Provides guidance and direction to other nursing personnel in caring for patients. ? Assists in the establishment and review of benchmarks for medical procedures. ? Acknowledges all prerequisite documentation requirements. ? Shows competency in the use and management of equipment such as monitors, drains, and infusion devices, and is adept at maintaining and setting up the same with precision and accuracy. ? Maintains the confidentiality of patient/resident data and strictly complies with their rights, regarding any patient/resident/personnel related information. ? Provides educational services to patients, those who care for them, and their family members, as needed. ? Maintains a professional image that aligns with the unit and facility policies. ? Follows a schedule that requires taking turns working on different shifts, including weekends and holidays. Required Education and Experience: ? Part of the mandatory qualifications for becoming a registered nurse is completing a professional nursing program at the undergraduate level. ? One year of medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care or long-term care setting is required for this job opening.
