Medical Bank Reconciliation Specialist- Remote

Vaco Staffing is looking for Bank Rec specialist for a project role for a large healthcare client in the Ft Worth area. This is remote opportunity. This is a six-month contract role. The pay is $18-20/hr DOE Job Summary: The Bank Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for the first steps in the billing process for the electronic or paper lock boxes. Daily assignments are provided by the supervisor and the Bank Reconciliation Specialist must develop a plan to complete work lists by the end of each day. The Bank Reconciliation Specialists must comply with applicable laws regarding billing standards and be able to operate in a team-oriented environment that strives to provide superior service to our providers throughout the country. Essential Functions and Tasks: ? Sort lock boxes and daily mail from client by date of service. ? Log deposit amounts daily for each client's lock box on spreadsheet. ? Receive paper checks for client through mail. ? Prepare deposits by creating deposit tape. ? Secure deposits and deliver to courier daily. ? Scan deposit images and upload them to appropriate folder. ? Review outstanding issues daily. ? Create payment batches in MedSuite. ? Prepare and work correspondence daily per client specification. ? Retrieve correspondence and sort by client. ? Scan and upload correspondence to appropriate folder. ? Performs special projects and other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements: ? High School Diploma or GED. ? At least one (1) year in data entry field preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ? Basic written and verbal communication skills. ? Ability to make decisions in a timely fashion that are sound, accurate and supported by the reasoning and inclusion of appropriate people. ? Must be able to interact well. ? Must be able to prioritize and accomplish objectives in a timely fashion. ? Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies. ? Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful,and professional manner. ? Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative and fast paced environment. ? Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner. ? Basic touch 10 key skills. ? Basic Math skills. ? Understand and comply with company policies and procedures. ? Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. ? Strong time management and organizational skills. ? Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
