The intern will assist in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and data reporting. This position offers hands-on experience in corporate finance within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Finance Intern will develop a deep understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and key performance indicators (KPIs) used in the restaurant and franchise business model. This is a hybrid role, requiring a blend of remote work and in-office collaboration at the Restaurant Support Center (RSC) in Atlanta.Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
  • Support the budgeting and planning process by gathering data and preparing templates and presentations.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and performance indicators.
  • Help maintain financial models and dashboards used for business decision-making.
  • Conduct research on market trends, financial benchmarks, and competitor analysis.
  • Assist in reviewing and processing expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Support the finance team during audits by preparing the necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to collect relevant data for financial analysis.
  • Participate in meetings and assist with notetaking, follow-ups, and tracking action items.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and files.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferably junior or senior year).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Foundational knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Word.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Discretion when working with confidential financial information.
  • Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid setting based in Atlanta, GA, with in-office days as required.
