Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support
- Lead and engage system architecture and system design discussion.
- Assist with system integration and technical management.
- Assists in providing technical input to the systems engineering process.
- Leads teams in developing technical plans.
- Guide customers in the installation and use of strategic products through education and guidance.
- Experience in tuning assistance problem solving and critical situation resolution.
- Proven expertise in VMware vSphere administration, including: vMotion, HA, and DRS configuration
- Managing and optimizing multi-clustered ESXi environments
- Performance tuning and capacity management
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS server hardware
- Proficiency in virtual machine deployment and administration on Microsoft and Linux platforms
- Demonstrated capability in VMware Aria Automation (vRA) and VMware Aria Orchestrator (vRO) for virtualization automation workflows
- Experience supporting government or large-scale enterprise data center environments
- Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation components beyond vSphere
- Background in automation scripting (JavaScript) to support and extend vRA/vRO workflows
- Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 10+ years’ work experience
- Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 years total)
- Department of Veteran's Affairs (100% On-site)
