Job description: The ideal candidate enjoys working with students and holds a passion for teaching. The primary responsibilities of this position are to serve as the classroom teacher implementing lesson plans, managing student behavior, and supervising students to maintain a safe and orderly environment. Substitutes are expected to be punctual and maintain a professional appearance. Candidates must always act by the school’s guidelines and procedures. Position schedules will be based on the school’s standard schedule. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age
- Teaching certificate or Bachelors degree ( A MUST)
- Able to pass a GAPS background check ( $50.00 one-time fee)
- Ability to comply with written and/or oral instructions
- Proficiency in maintaining classroom management and emotional control under stress
- •Implementing lesson plans
- Assigning classwork and homework
- Maintaining classroom control and discipline
- Creating daily reports for the classroom teacher
- Taking attendance by school procedures
- Setting up basic technology equipment to support classroom instructions
- Able to work on an on-call basis
- Prior related experience working with children
- The ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
- Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned requirements
- This position pays $175.00 per day at $21.87 per hour
