Cloud Migration Engineer (AWS & DevOps)

Job Summary: We are seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer with strong expertise in AWS and DevOps practices to lead and execute cloud transformation initiatives. This role focuses on the migration of legacy systems and applications to AWS, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a hands-on technical background, a strategic mindset, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end cloud migration of infrastructure, applications, and data to AWS

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments aligned with best practices

  • Collaborate with application teams to assess current architecture and define migration strategies

  • Automate deployment and infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation

  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps tools, Jenkins, or similar platforms

  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments, optimizing performance and cost

  • Ensure security and compliance across all cloud systems

  • Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps, with a focus on AWS

  • Proven experience leading cloud migration projects from on-premise or other platforms to AWS

  • Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi

  • Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet)

  • Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification

  • Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
