This Caregiver position will work in multiple programs. Below are the shifts we're hiring for: • Tues-Sat 7a-3p • Tues-Sat 3p-11p • Tues-Sat 11p-7a • Sun-Thurs 7a-3p • Sun-Thurs 3p-11p • Sun-Thurs 11p-7a Requirements Include: • Prefer at least 2 years of professional caregiving or similar experience • open and flexible availability • At least 18 years of age • Able to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance • Clean, reliable vehicle • Clear criminal history record • Social Security Card or Birth Certificate Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) positions serve those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DSPs work hands on as a Caregiver/Companion to teach skills and provide support to allow people to live as independently as possible in their homes and be involved in their communities the way they want to. DSPs assists individuals with a disability to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community, assists with activities of daily living if needed, and encourages attitudes and behaviors to enhance community inclusion. DSPs may provide supports to a person with a disability at home, work, school, church, and other community places. DSPs will perform personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, walking, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks. DSPs also advocate for people, in communicating their needs, self-expression and goals. Responsibilities: • Foster positive relationships between caretakers and individual served. • Ensures customer safety and maintaining a safe environment. • Reminds and assists clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training). • Encourages self-help activities. • Documents services provided. • Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning. • Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up. • Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or running errands for clients. • Other duties as assigned.
