Position: Veterinary Technician Assistant (Full-Time) Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong love for animals, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Handle and restrain animals with care and professionalism. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Provide compassionate care and attention to animals in the clinic. Perform laboratory tests, including bloodwork and urinalysis. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic and animal enclosures. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and medication administration. Support the front desk with client inquiries, appointment scheduling, and record-keeping. Required Skills: A genuine passion for animals and their well-being. Excellent communication skills, both with the veterinary team and pet owners. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred but not mandatory. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions. A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe clinic environment. Knowledge of basic medical terminology is a plus. Flexibility in working hours, as some evenings and weekends may be required.
