We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Product Owner to lead the development of our Remote Marine Mammal Observation (RMMO) system. This role combines environmental impact with cutting-edge technology, including sensors, AI/ML, and uncrewed surface vehicles (USV’ s).

You will guide the product from early research through full deployment, ensuring regulatory compliance, technical excellence, and operational readiness.

Your Role

  • Conduct in-depth research and document marine mammal observation regulations across the US, UK, and EU, ensuring compliance and best practices.

  • Explore and test cutting-edge sensor and AI/ML technologies to enhance monitoring capabilities.

  • Take charge of coordinating pilot testing on crewed vessels, bringing innovation from concept to reality.

  • Oversee data integration and remote monitoring systems, ensuring seamless functionality and insightful analytics.

  • Lead training and documentation initiatives, empowering teams with the knowledge and tools they need.

  • Drive the full deployment of the system on uncrewed surface vehicles (USV’ s), continuously monitoring performance for optimal results.

Your track record

  • You are an experienced professional in product management, ideally within Marine technology or Environmental Monitoring;

  • You have an academic background in a relevant field, such as Marine Science, Environmental Technology and/or Product Management;

  • You have expertise in sensor systems, data integration and AI/ML applications;

  • You have strong skills in Project Management and stakeholder coordination;

  • You have excellent communication and documentation abilities;
