Communications Agent Level 1 - Global Security Operations (GSOC) Agent

Provides exceptional service to customers. Conducts research and analysis of monitored locations, processes alarm calls, dispatches first responders, updates databases, and communicates with emergency personnel. Essential Functions:

  • Provides expertise and excellent service to both internal and external customers.
  • Conducts research and analysis of burglary and fire alarm monitored locations and processes incoming alarm calls and signals while subsequently dispatching first responders and notifying stakeholders.
  • Update internal computer databases to maintain accuracy and process inquiries from internal customers.
  • Effectively communicate to local police, fire, and EMS personnel.
  • Handle routine and emergency calls from within company property, the surrounding area and coordinate the appropriate response
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to provide expertise and excellent service to both internal and external FedEx customers.
  • Ability to gather essential facts and triage phone calls for potential escalation.
  • Research skills (social media and other open source media).
  • Ability to process automated signals and coordinate the appropriate response.
  • Ability to update internal databases to accurately record GSOC activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to work any shift 24/7.

Minimum Education High School Diploma/GED. Minimum Experience One year experience in either customer service, burglar/fire alarm monitoring, computer processing, emergency dispatch, customer account maintenance, or related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated organizational and planning skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to work multiple and varying shifts based on business needs. Excellent human relations, organizational, and communications skills. Must complete required training program. Preferred Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law.
