About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to oversee, automate, and manage our environment efficiently.

Company Profile:

Our client is an innovative provider of commercial software tailored for IT Service Providers, particularly managed services and cloud computing providers. They manage a medium-sized AWS environment with approximately 50 EC2 instances, CloudFront, ALB, and S3 infrastructure across 4 regions, alongside RavenDB Cloud.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure management, preferably within AWS, with expertise in EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3.
  • At least 2 years of experience with C# .NET.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Pulumi (IaC), scripting (Python, Bash), and CI/CD tools like Octopus Deploy.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with New Relic or similar monitoring tools.
  • Database Knowledge: Familiarity with RavenDB Cloud or other NoSQL databases.
  • Automation: Proven experience in automating deployment, scaling, and system health checks.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Can start immediately if possible.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of CRM, CPQ, or Sales Management business systems.
  • Understanding of the technology or managed services industries.
  • Comprehensive disaster recovery planning.
  • Relevant AWS certifications.
  • Experience in multi-region architecture and scaling is highly valued.

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ALB, CloudFront, and S3, across multiple regions to ensure optimal performance, high availability, and security.
  • Provisioning and Automation: Utilize Pulumi to create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automated provisioning and configuration.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance using New Relic and proactively resolve issues. Optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and performance.
  • Deployment Automation: Manage and enhance deployment pipelines with Octopus Deploy, ensuring seamless releases aligned with CI/CD best practices.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
  • Security Management: Implement and monitor cloud security best practices, access controls, and compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and resolve infrastructure issues. Offer technical expertise to improve team effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, operational procedures, and policies to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • The role may require on-call support for critical issues or deployments.
