Junior Legal & Compliance Associate (Fixed-Term, 12 Months)

About the Role: Are you a recent law graduate or a legal professional at the beginning of your career, looking to gain hands-on experience in an international environment? Join our Nordic legal team for a 12-month fixed-term position, supporting Marsh and Mercer operations in Sweden and across the Nordics. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced legal counsel, contribute to real-world compliance and regulatory matters, and grow your skills within a global professional services firm.
What You’ll Be Doing: • Support with reviewing commercial contracts and internal legal documentation. • Assist in updating legal templates and improving contract management processes. • Help with routine compliance tasks and documentation. • Translate regulatory updates (such as data privacy or financial regulations) into clear business guidance. • Collaborate with teams across Sweden, Denmark, and the wider European legal network. • Participate in legal and compliance projects under the guidance of senior counsel.
What We’re Looking For: • A law degree (or close to completion). • Up to 2 years of legal or compliance-related experience (internships included). • Interest in contract law, compliance, or regulatory matters. • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, international environment. • Strong communication skills and fluency in English. • Structured and detail-oriented approach.
Nice to Have: • Previous internship or experience in a law firm, insurance, or financial services company. • Familiarity with GDPR or other EU regulatory frameworks. • Fluency in a Nordic language (Swedish is a plus but not required).
