About this role:

The Contracts Manager oversees the preparation of bids, process specifications, and reviews and negotiates commercial contracts, bids, RFPs, etc. Trains employees and advises leadership of contractual rights and obligations to protect business interests. Responsible for and implements improvements to department processes to ensure effectiveness of the Contracts team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and negotiates bids, commercial contracts, and other legal documents submitted by the sales teams.
  • Assists in implementing service excellence strategies to improve the relationship between legal department and other departments.
  • Assists leadership in training employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to contract processes related to the business.
  • Assists in compiling and analyzing data, and in maintaining historical information to ensure ease of accessibility and retrieval of data and documents.
  • Supports proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 + years of experience in contract review and negotiation and applicable state/local/federal laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience
  • Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound legal and business judgment.
