Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Part-time Blueprint Instructor to join our Workforce, Professional and Technical Education & STEM Department at Clark College. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds, guiding them towards achieving their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct welding/fabrication students in blueprint reading, utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline to facilitate student learning
• Participate in relevant department assessment activities and decision-making processes
• Pursue professional development to enhance teaching and learning techniques
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve student success and support the mission of Clark College

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with blueprints as a welder, fabricator, or engineer
• Experience teaching or training people on reading blueprints
• Ability to read weld symbols and work with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
