Remote Video Operator - Join Our Team of Innovative Broadcast Professionals

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Video Operator to join our team at ESPN Productions, Inc. As a Remote Video Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting the engineering needs of our remote broadcasts, ensuring seamless technical operations and delivering high-quality video content to our audience. Key Responsibilities:

• Adjust video levels, black/white balance, and color balance between all cameras to ensure optimal video quality
• Patch and route video, collaborating with the video team to place monitors for talent and the show
• Troubleshoot video problems, including camera, cabling, lens, and other technical issues
• Manage and organize remote compound video, fiber cable, and source lists to ensure efficient operations
• Develop workflows with Operations and Production partners to drive success
• Participate in system design, building, and on-site integration, including video path, fiber-linked systems, and digital video compression

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of practical remote production operations experience at a network level in a Video role
• Proficient knowledge of live production equipment and operations
• Strong understanding of waveform/vectorscope functions (SDI and IP, HD, UHD, and HDR formats)
• Ability to manage overall camera look and shading needs, monitor and adjust signals and monitors as needed
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with excellent communication and technical acumen
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
