SMB Sales Associate (Contract)

Goody is seeking a results-oriented SMB Sales Associate to help support and drive new business growth across the small business and very small business segments. In this contractor role, you’ll focus on converting inbound interest, generating pipeline and closing new logos. You’ll play a critical role in introducing prospective customers to Goody’s platform, articulating value, and getting them to their first successful send.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup, and who’s motivated by clear goals, creative problem-solving, and the opportunity to help build a repeatable go-to-market motion in a high-velocity sales setting. As a fully remote company, we are seeking excellent communicators who manage time well and can build trust and strong team camaraderie in a virtual setting.

You’ll report into the Sales Manager and collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product to deliver an exceptional experience to new prospects. This is a remote, contract-based position for individuals authorized to work in the U.S

Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Own the full sales cycle from inbound lead qualification to closing as well as outbounding for pipeline generation for net new customers within the SMB segment
  • Drive consultative, solution-based conversations with small business prospects to understand their gifting needs and position Goody’s value
  • Convert warm inbound leads, respond promptly to inquiries, and proactively nurture early-stage buyers to close
  • Provide product demos, follow up with tailored recommendations, and guide prospects to their first purchase
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Customer Support to ensure a smooth post-sale handoff and customer onboarding experience
  • Surface trends, buyer feedback, and objections to inform Marketing and Product
  • Accurately track activity, pipeline, and deal progress in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Follow established sales processes and contribute to the evolution of our SMB playbook
  • Represent Goody with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering value to every customer interaction
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B SaaS, ecommerce, or a high-velocity transactional sales environment
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding quota in a high-volume sales role
  • Comfortable owning a pipeline, managing a high number of leads, and independently driving deals to close
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to quickly build trust with SMB buyers
  • Familiarity with CRMs like Salesforce and sales intelligence and engagement tools like Gong, Apollo, Outreach, or similar
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated in a remote work environment
  • Startup and e-commerce experience is a plus — we value scrappiness, initiative, and the ability to figure things out
  • Ability to work independently as a contractor with clear deliverables and performance expectations
Contract Details:
  • This is a part-time contractor role requiring availability during core customer-facing hours: 10 AM–3 PM EST / 9 AM–2 PM PST, Monday through Friday (5 hours/day) and pays $35/hr USD
  • Initial engagement is 25 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
