Classroom Teaching Aide - Supporting Student Success at Edith Bowen Laboratory School

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson materials and classroom curriculum tailored to individual student needs
• Assist the lead teacher in developing and adapting teaching methods to meet students' unique needs
• Work with students in small groups to provide targeted support in reading and math
• Provide extra support to students with physical, mental, or linguistic limitations
• Maintain detailed records of student progress on instructional or behavioral goals
• Support students with assistive devices and technologies
• Perform specialized tasks to achieve instructional and behavioral objectives
• Assist SPED teachers with behavior modification procedures and IEP implementation

Requirements and Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience working in an elementary school setting
• At least one year of experience working with RtI or SPED students (for certain aide positions)
• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in education or related field preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse students, teachers, and staff
