Remote Data Engineer II - Ring Data Warehouse

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer II to join our Ring Data Warehouse team at Amazon. As a Data Engineer II, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that drive business growth and inform decision-making. Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and discuss requirements from business partners across various verticals, including Memberships, Sales, Reverse Logistics, Finance, Product, and more.
• Build new data ingestions using a combination of native AWS services and internal Amazon tools.
• Maintain and improve existing data ingestions, ensuring they meet evolving standards and corporate mandates.
• Develop and maintain tools and systems for internal teams and external partners to manage data.
• Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data quality by colleagues and supporting teams.

About the Team:

The Ring Data Warehouse team is responsible for managing the centralized data repository for Ring. We acquire and publish data from various internal and external sources, which are used by different stakeholders, including Ring Product Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS technologies, such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
• Experience with at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
• Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
