Must be a U.S. citizen. Overview : Transcribe medical dictation using proprietary software and a compatible foot pedal. Specialties include acute care and others. Responsibilities :

• Recognize, interpret, and evaluate inconsistencies, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in medical dictation and related documents.
• Use reference materials effectively to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of reports.
• Meet quality and productivity standards and deadlines established by the employer.
• Verify patient information for accuracy and completeness.
• Format reports according to established guidelines.
• Understand the medicolegal implications and responsibilities related to transcription of patient records.
• Comply with policies regarding confidentiality, release of information, and legal requirements.
• Maintain employer’s performance expectations.

Qualifications / Skills :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to achieve and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, AHDI guidelines, and procedures.
• Ability to operate transcription equipment and related software.
• Excellent listening skills, with the ability to understand diverse accents and dictation styles.

Job Requirements :

• Home office setup.
• High-speed internet connection (no satellite).
• USB Infinity foot pedal (DVI USB foot pedals are incompatible).
• Windows 10, Intel i3 or better processor / AMD K4 or better, 8 GB RAM minimum, 250 GB hard drive minimum.
• Work sessions ranging from 30 minutes to over 2 hours.
