About the position Life Alert Emergency Response is seeking Entry Level Customer Service Representatives for its 24 Hour Call Center in Encino, California. This role is crucial in providing emergency response services, ensuring that customers receive timely assistance while maintaining a high standard of service. Responsibilities ? Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls; route calls to medical emergency services and 3rd parties. , ? Obtain medical emergency information by ascertaining the nature of the problem, calming the caller, and remaining on the line until help arrives. , ? Obtain fire emergency information by assessing the nature and extent of the fire. , ? Obtain police emergency information by determining the nature of the incident and if other emergency services are required. , ? Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards and emergency protocols. , ? Resolve incoming calls by following standard operating procedures; obtain pertinent information; make connections to the appropriate department. , ? Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. , ? General data entry; includes setting up new customer accounts, entering contact information and medical history, and other pertinent information. Requirements ? High School diploma or equivalent. , ? Strong verbal and written communication skills. , ? Punctuality, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task. , ? Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations; exhibit emotional control. , ? Ability to display a strong sense of urgency. Nice-to-haves ? Bilingual or Spanish speakers a plus.
