Description Join a cutting-edge initiative focused on extracting real-time data from Allen-Bradley PLCs on a medical device manufacturing line. The goal is to transform raw industrial data into actionable business intelligence. The customer has a working proof of concept and is seeking a seasoned engineer to assist with the testing, validation, and hardening of the solution. They have an experienced engineer who will be providing guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and validate the existing PLC data extraction solution.
- Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies including:
- Fuzz testing
- Load testing
- Unit testing using xUnit/NUnit
- Develop and maintain test harnesses and frameworks in Python.
- Configure and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Create and manage Dockerfiles for containerized test environments.
- Analyze, test and troubleshoot communication protocols including TCP/IP and CIP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solution scalability and reliability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and test automation.
- Strong proficiency in C# and Python.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and Docker.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and CIP (Common Industrial Protocol).
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Proven ability to design and execute advanced testing strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of industrial data analytics and business intelligence platforms.
Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
