Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. has an immediate need for Registered Nurse -Urgent Care to work in Sylmar, CA. A successful candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience. This role requires a compassionate, attentive, and skilled nurse who can assess patient needs, and ensure a safe transition from sedation to consciousness. Pay-rate: per diem $60/hr for the first 8 hours, $90/hr for the last 4 hours = $2,520 per week Shifts:
- Per diem, min 2 shifts per week or as needed
- Day shift 8am-8:30pm, may include weekends and holidays
- Working in the ER
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition following surgery. Adjust care as needed and respond swiftly to any signs of distress or complications.
- Patient Assessment: Perform thorough assessments to identify any deviations from expected outcomes. This includes neurological assessments, airway management, and recognition of the signs and symptoms of anesthesia-related complications.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed to manage pain and other post-operative conditions. Ensure accurate documentation of all medications administered.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and any specific instructions related to the surgical procedure.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Communicate effectively regarding patient status and recovery progress.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Associate Degree in
