Position Overview

We are actively seeking enthusiastic, customer‑focused individuals to fill the role of Customer Service Agent – Remote/Hybrid. This full‑time, entry‑level position is based in Jesup, IA, with a flexible work model that blends on‑site training and hybrid work‑from‑home opportunities. As a member of our Customer Experience team, you will be the voice of arenaflex, delivering exceptional service to a high volume of inbound callers, resolving issues, and building lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of inbound phone calls with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate daily with customers and internal sales teams to understand needs and provide accurate solutions.
  • Navigate multiple PC‑based applications simultaneously, maintaining accuracy while processing orders, returns, and account inquiries.
  • Diagnose and resolve pricing, invoicing, and credit issues, ensuring customers receive timely and correct information.
  • Document interactions in the CRM system, following arenaflex’s data‑entry standards and privacy policies.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions, team huddles, and performance reviews to continuously improve service quality.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross‑selling arenaflex’s product portfolio when appropriate, always putting the customer’s best interest first.
  • Adhere to scheduled shift times (8:30 am – 5:00 pm Central) and maintain consistent attendance, enjoying weekends off.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Minimum of one year experience in a customer service or call‑center environment.
  • Reliable commute to the arenaflex training facility in Waterloo, IA, and ability to work onsite during the 8‑week training academy.
  • Dedicated, secure home workspace that meets arenaflex’s health and safety standards.
  • Proficiency with multiple computer programs, including CRM, order‑entry, and inventory‑management tools.
  • Stable broadband internet with documented speeds of at least 5 Mbps upload, 15 Mbps download, and ping under 80 ms.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, active listening, and a problem‑solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a hybrid or remote work setting.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting concepts such as invoicing, credit application, and return processing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while staying aligned with team goals.
  • Comfort with a fast‑paced environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and product compliance (helpful but not required).

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay is $15.80 per hour, with three automatic raises over the first 12 months that bring the hourly rate up to $17.00. Training & Development

  • Advanced call‑handling techniques, conflict resolution, and de‑escalation strategies.
  • Hands‑on practice with our proprietary CRM and order‑management platforms.

Upon successful completion, you will transition to a hybrid schedule—three days onsite and two days remote—allowing you to tailor your work environment to personal preferences. As you demonstrate reliability and meet performance metrics, you may earn additional flexibility to work from home up to five days a week and participate in shift‑bidding for alternate schedules.
