[Remote] Manager, Lifecycle Marketing
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Existence is seeking a Manager of Lifecycle Marketing to build and oversee the customer lifecycle engine. This role involves designing strategies, implementing tools, and launching playbooks in collaboration with Product Marketing, while focusing on metrics and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the full lifecycle framework: waitlist nurture, onboarding, activation, habit formation, retention, monetization, and win-back
- Build and launch multi-channel programs (email, push, in-app, SMS) with meticulous attention to segmentation, triggers, copy, and logic
- Maintain a master map of every lifecycle touchpoint and segment — keeping it current as the product evolves
- Balance speed and rigor in a pre-launch environment while also using product data to inform the go forward retention strategy
- Run a disciplined experimentation cadence — defining hypotheses, test parameters, and success criteria before every test launches
- Treat launched programs as starting points, not endpoints; maintain a prioritized backlog of optimizations and work through it systematically
- Document every experiment, result, and learning in a structured format so institutional knowledge compounds over time
- Serve as the primary HubSpot owner — deep expertise in workflows, segmentation, contact properties, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, and reporting
- Architect workflow logic that is clean, well-documented, and maintainable; enforce naming conventions and data hygiene standards across the instance
- QA all triggers, segments, and personalization tokens before launch — rigorous QA to ensure no broken logic going live
- Define lifecycle KPIs (activation, retention, LTV, churn) and build dashboards that give real-time visibility into program health
- Establish a rigorous reporting rhythm with consistent templates and clear commentary on trends
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data on instrumentation and experimentation
- Partner with Product Marketing to operationalize positioning, feature launches, and value propositions across lifecycle touchpoints
Skills
- 5+ years of lifecycle or CRM marketing experience, ideally in subscription or consumer apps
- Proven track record building lifecycle programs from zero to a full, high-performing program
- Deep, hands-on HubSpot expertise — workflows, segmentation, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, reporting; certifications a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills: you naturally maintain structured systems across many simultaneous projects without losing details
- Meticulous eye for detail — you QA your own work relentlessly and hold a high bar for accuracy in everything from copy to workflow logic
- Continuous iteration mindset backed by strong analytical skills; experience building dashboards in Tableau, Looker, or similar
- Experience with additional lifecycle tools (Salesforce, Pardot, Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, etc.)
- Clear, precise communication — your briefs, docs, and readouts leave no room for ambiguity
