Position Overview

The Data Entry Operator at arenaflex plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless processing of claims and eligibility records that directly impact the lives of countless individuals across Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. Working within our collaborative office environment, you will be responsible for inputting, reviewing, and reconciling essential data with precision and care. This role is ideal for someone who possesses excellent typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate Data Input: Enter claims and eligibility records into the company system with a high degree of accuracy, processing information received through telephone contacts and written correspondence while maintaining proper grammar, punctuation, and professional etiquette in all communications.
  • Information Retrieval and Reconciliation: Retrieve and reconcile information from various files when claims are rejected by the system, identifying the root cause of discrepancies and implementing appropriate solutions to ensure timely processing.
  • Decision-Making and Routing: Determine whether inaccurate data should be updated directly, routed to another department for review, or escalated for adjudication based on established protocols and judgment calls.
  • Quality Control and Correction: Correct and update claim information that has been entered through optical scanning or initial data entry processes, ensuring all records meet arenaflex's stringent quality standards.
  • Records Management: Maintain comprehensive related departmental records and files, ensuring proper organization, storage, and retrieval in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Office Equipment Operation: Operate standard office equipment including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and other tools necessary to complete daily tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Adhere to all company policies regarding data privacy, security, and confidentiality, ensuring sensitive information is handled with the utmost care and discretion.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members and supervisors to resolve data-related issues, share insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED).
  • Professional Experience: Have at least one year of work experience in an office environment, demonstrating familiarity with professional workplace standards and procedures.
  • Typing Proficiency: Ability to enter a minimum of 7,000 keystrokes per hour with 95% accuracy (equivalent to 6,650 correct keystrokes per hour).
  • Testing Requirement: Successful completion of a data entry test sponsored by Human Resources within the past 12 months. This requirement may be waived for candidates who currently hold or have previously held a position that meets similar data entry performance standards.
