As a tutor with SiSTEM Tutoring Agency LLC, you will be responsible for developing tailored lesson plans, assessing student progress, and communicating with parents and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to learning. You will also have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds, including migrant students, and make a positive impact on their academic journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one math tutoring to high school students, covering a range of topics including algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and probability
• Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Assess student progress and communicate with parents and teachers to ensure a collaborative approach to learning
• Prepare students for standardized exams, such as the SAT, ACT, and AP exams
• Mentor and support students in developing strong study habits, time management skills, and academic confidence

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse student backgrounds and learning styles
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in mentoring, tutoring, or teaching math to high school students
• College degree in math, education, or a related field (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree)
• Eligibility to work in the United States, with a valid Social Security Number
• Ability to pass a background check and commit to tutoring for the duration of the assignment
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Technological savvy, with proficiency in email, texting, Slack, Google Sheets, and Excel
